I have a question about "flashes" I sometimes see in my left eye.
Every so often these spots will bloom in the vision of my left eye and disappear almost instantly. They don't seem to effect my vision at all. I typically notice these flashes most at night. I have been seeing them for 2-3 years now off and on. I will see them frequently for a couple of days and then I might not seem them at all for a couple of weeks. I have had 2 or 3 standard eye exams since I first started noticing these flashes and have been given clean bills of health for my eyes (aside from needing glasses or contacts).
I am wondering how serious these flashes may be and what they could be.
Also would the standard eye exams I have had detected anything serious?
