Hi there
I have the following symptoms, and no-one has yet been able to piece them together and tell me what I have.
1 - Severe heaviness in the gut after eating even small amounts of food. Feel lethargic and generally very heavy, as well as discomfort in the gut for a long time. This has been going on for more than 10 years, and getting progressively worse. I have cut out gluten, which didn't seem to help, but I now get a more severe reaction if I take it. Symptoms have improved slightly this year, as I have started a series of liver flushes, which seems to help, but the problem is still there.
2 - Very heavy legs. This is relatively new, and started suddenly for no apparent reason at the start of last year (2009). Always feels like I have walked for miles and miles, and even walking upstairs is now sometimes a chore.
3 - A patch of dry itchy skin under my right arm. This has been getting worse for the past 2-3 years. Initially, there was a small patch under my left arm and at the base of my back as well, but these went away, and the patch under my right arm got worse.
4 - Dry eye in my right eye only. Seems to be worse in winter.
At the same time as these have been getting worse, my general immunity seems to have improved. I always used to be ill with colds and so on, but now much more rarely - and confined generally to March and September-October. Sometimes, I seem to be coming down with a cold, but recover before it hits full blast - which never used to happen (it always used to develop into a full-blown cold). I am also able to survive on 1-2 hours less sleep than I previously needed.
So it is a complex picture, and if anyone can throw any light on what it is, or more importantly, how I can resolve it, I will be very happy.
I am 38 years old - otherwise healthy - a little under-weight (much more now since the liver flushes), eat a healthy balanced diet of mainly home-cooked food - fresh vegetables/beans/pulses, etc.
Look forward to any responses.
Best Wishes
Guy
