Strange calendar memory usage on E50 or other S60 phones?

I recently got a new E50 and the calendar memory usage started at 300B. I added 2 events to the calendar and the memory usage increased to 1kB. I've just deleted the 2 events from the calendar without adding any new events. Yet the memory usage is still at 1K and it didn't free up any memory that the calendar was using. Anyone else have the same issue with the E50 or other S60 phones? Any suggestions on how to release the memory that the calendar was using? I don't want to start adding a bunch of calendar events if the memory doesn't free up when I delete the events later on.

A hard reset will always compress the memory if you need it to.

I understand your concern, but I don't think the amount of data isn't going to matter. Even if you use half of your internal memory for the calendar, that's 35,000 entries (or so). Why don't you add a bunch, check the memory, delete them, and see if the problem is consistent?

Hi Delta_V,
You should try Papyrus, an alternative PIM solution to the Nokia Calendar and see if that helps with freeing memory etc ...

We've just released a new version - 1.2.05 which you can read about it here
