I have an 03 merc C240 that sometimes makes a whirling sound, almost like some small motor is spinning very fast. It comes on for a few seconds then goes away, and only when I'm at a standstill. I feel like it may be coming from the front of the car. What could it be? Is it the fuel pump? If so, do I need a replacement?
