straight shots

Hi, Everyone. I'm new at this. I have a 2007 boulevard C50. I'm installing a set of Vance&Hines straight shots. I'm getting conflicting info about installing a control module. Also don't know anything about the pair valve. Can anyone help me? :roll:
 
OK, I've been reading a lot of other post on this subject and I've learned a lot. I know what the pair valve is now. Now I just have to install my new pipes and see how it runs, then determine if I need to install a f1 module. This not my first motorcyle, but my first with fuel injection, so I have a lot to learn. This is my first time using a forum, I love all the info available. Hope to talk to everyone whenever possible...
 
I installed new pipes a week ago on my 07' C90T and also bought the fi2000r. I rode the bike to test the pipes but I was gettin a lot of popping when down shifting. The next day I installed the fi and no more popping and seemed to have a little more power. The install was easy, about 30 minutes. The most difficult part was removing the seat. The only problem I have now is the bike seems to idle too high like it is slightely choked or something. Going to stop by the dealer today to see what he says. Maybe a different air cleaner would bring it down a little or possibly an idle screw. Not sure as this is my first bike with FI.
 
Went ahead and ordered a FI200 today, decided to go ahead and install along with the pipes. hope to have everything together by the weekend. have been off work all week, had a stent put in heart last saturday.:ooops:
 
You can eliminate the back popping by either blocking off, or removing the PAIR valve system. Best thing to do is remove the hoses, place golf TEEs inside the hoses, and put them back on. I used Vacuum line caps in the metal nozzels, then plugged the hoses back on top of them.

My straight pipes came today, couldn't wait went ahead and put them on. Had a problem with one of my billet tappered tips, was to big for the pipe. Tried The ice cube solution, still to big. I ended up using the dremel to taper down the edge a little bit, then rubbed some oil on it and got it started. Next I took a 2x4 and a hammer and tap it in, I don't think it will ever come out. Haven't recieved my FI2000 yet. (coming friday) Took the bike for about a 5 mile ride, didn't back fire on down shift or slow down, felt strong on throttle, but I'll probaly go ahead and install FI2000 this weekend.:bluethum:
