I watched this on TV recently and enjoyed it tremendously. Another great character perfomance by Bill Nighy but who were the actors who got out of the van Alex chased on his bike. One looked like Steve McFadden.

Ugh. I loved these books, and I waited years for the movie. Finally got to watch it in 2006... absolutely terrible. They couldn't have picked a worse guy for the lead.

There is talk of the films getting an reboot. I don't know if they will or not though.

It didn't do anything for his career either. He admitted that he got offered nothing after it so Wild Child made a few years later he was glad to get the role.
