Stomach trouble after consuming alcohol

Afew months back I had a night out in my local town, ive never been a heavy drinker, 5-6pints as aways my maximum, but on this night I must have drank 8 pints in the space of about 4hours. Id had a fairly big meal before going out, and ended up throwing up several times in the night, and the day after.
I didnt eat anything for about 3 days as i felt as though the lining of my stomach had been burnt away.
After a few days the feeling went away and everything was back to normal, apart from a slight loss of appetite.
But now, afew months down the line I am stll having problems, I cant hardly drink any alcohol at all, even just 1 pint makes my stomach churn, and gives my alot of discomfort and sick feelings. I had just 1 and a half pints on saturday night, I didnt throw up, but my stomach still feels tender 3 days later.
This is happening everytime I consume any amount of alcohol.
Is there anything wrong? or do I just need to give up drinking for a while and see what happens?
Im only 20, and ive never really abused alcohol, and I dont drink on a very regular basis.
Thanks.

Sorry you are feeling poorly. I think your body is talking to you and you should listen. Seems like quite a bit of alcohol. I would let your body rest and heal. Do everything in moderation and your body will thank you. Good luck!

I agree with the above post to just take it easy for a while. I doubt you would have any long-term damage, but I'd take a break from drinking for a little while, or have very little. Even though some time has passed, just the taste of alcohol can make you feel sick remembering the night you got very sick, and then your stomach may act up! I notice that I sometimes notice alcohol causing more discomfort at times than other times depending on supplements/medications I may be taking. I am taking Prozac and I notice that ever since taking it, alcohol doesn't settle with my stomach as well. I get acid reflux and have to really cut back or I'm uncomfortable. The alcohol also affects me much faster now, so I don't need to have a lot anyway. Have you had any other changes in medication or eating habits?

Alcohol can cause stomach ulcers or if you have one already from something like using too much aspirin or ibuprofen, then it can make it much worse. Think of the pain when you put alcohol on an open wound.

I'd go see a doc and be checked for a stomach ulcer.

does this only happen when you drink alcohol, have you tried changing your drink, the first time i got drunk i couldn't drink the same drink again without feeling sick
