Stomach pains after taking paracetamol?

I have had a killer toothache for the past few days so I have been on paracetamol every day just the take the edge off the pain until I go to the dentist on Wednesday. On Saturday when I had a paracetamol I started getting stomach pains (I've had these pains on and off for awhile. My doctor says it's a pulled muscle but I hadn't felt them for ages until now) and also although I was sitting down the room seemed to spin for a second. I've felt more tired than usual these past few days too although I've been sleeping a lot.

The stomach pains are weird and hard to describe... they just feel like something is being twisted inside of me. They're on the right hand side just below my rib cage. I'm not sure if it was something I ate but last night I think I saw some red in my stool when I "went". Not a dot, but like a long strip.

Any help or advice? I felt stupid the last couple of times I went to the doctors because they just kept saying it's a pulled muscle but the fact it's come on again as soon as I started taking paracetamol has worried me.

paracetamol is the same as tylenol...have you had a reaction to tylenol?

A long strip of red would mean bleeding in the rectum or anus. Do you happen to have a fissure?

You should go back to the doctor and request to be sent to a gastroenterologist. Tell the doc about the bleeding. It could be that you have an internal hemmie or fissure....but it could also be a symptom of inflammatory bowel disease, etc.

The upper right pain could be indicative of gas, liver, gallbladder...as well as inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome or a host of other things.

You need to be checked out, specifically because of the upper right pain plus the bleeding.

Food can cause cramping, but it won't cause the bleeding.

Let us know what happens.
