Stomach issues directly after eating, but not every day

for about a year now I have been having these strange episodes, they started out very mild and now result in not being able to function at all....SO
I will eat a meal (some time on rare occation its a snack) i will be full (usually something I got out, not home made, I cook very healthy) about 2-5 mins after eating I get this tingling sensation in my arms, my stomach starts to hurt really bad, I have cramping and Diarrhea, then the pain moves to my upper stomach and feels like really bad indigestion (pain in my chest also, like a burning) I have to keep burping to relieve presser, if I try to walk or stand the room starts spinning and I feel like I will pass out, I feel like if I could just throw up I would feel better but I can not throw up, afer about 30 mins the pain subsides and I can get up, I then have minor stomach pain for the next 24 hours....
I have a history of ovarian cysts, kidney stones and high cholestrol...I have NO idea why since I am 110 lbs 5'3, 29 years old and eat VERY healthy, I walk every other day and do yoga, I cook low sodeum and low fat, we do not eat out much....
I went to the ER 2 times with this and they told me they could not find anything wrong with me, I have had ultra sounds and blood work....My daughters GI dr (yes shes having issues too but different) thinks I have ciliacs....I am wondering if my stomach could be actually turning and cutting off blood supply????

It DOES NOT feel like kidney stones although it is painfull its not the same pain and not quite as bad....so any Ideas would be great! I can not seem to find anything on the net that helps me to know what to ask my DR...I do however need to get the test for ciliacs...
ALSO I forget to mention, my heart starts racing and I start sweating this also last the entire 30 mins, one more thing....in some of these episodes my hands feet and eyelids will start burning and itching, I have had hives before and its not hives....I know this all sounds crazy but its real and getting very annoying, we were out to eat one time and it happened and we had to leave after I was in the bathroom for 20 mins mustering up the strength to walk from the restroom to the exit to get into the car, I had to lay on a bench half way there cause I was going to pass out, my kids where crying cause they didn't know what was wrong and my husband had to help me into the car to the ER....I hate this and really would like to know what it is...

thank you all!

Do you mean celiac disease? If so, does the trouble occur when you eat gluten containing foods (anything containing wheat or rye; oats are often contaminated)?

If you and your doctor suspect celiac disease, you may want to try a gluten free diet for a while and see if the problems go away.

Note that wheat can be found in many places where you may not expect it. For example, most soy sauce contains wheat.

Thankyou Kathleen,

Yeah they have told me alot of different things, I was reading up on abdominal epilepsy and actually that is exactally what happens...I know about 5 mins before hand that its going to happen by a feeling I get, I dont have any kind of sesures or any history of anything but the kidney stones so it would be odd....

But yeah I have not for sure been able to narrow it down to one food yet, so far Corn and Onions seem to bother me a bit....if I take a spoon of apple cider vinigar it helps after an attack witch is telling me I dont have enough stomach acid at the time....not sure what that points to.

But I dont want to tell you what your dr said is wrong but personally I dont believe in IBS, they tell EVERYONE that and I just cant accept that as an answer yet...

We dont eat pork or beef (only chicken or fish) we eat freash veg and fruit, 12 grain breads, I dont buy junk food, we are very carefull but I could be missing something who knows...

itsn't this the pits!?

Kathleen....check this out: (now granted I dont know if you can get this on its own or if you have to have soome for of epilepsy already, but thought it was interesting.....

Abdominal Epilepsy: Causes, Symptoms

There are many medical causes of abdominal pain; abdominal epilepsy is one of the rare causes. Although abdominal epilepsy is diagnosed most often in children, the research of Peppercorn and Herzog (1989) suggests that abdominal epilepsy may be much more common in adults than is generally recognized.

Thanks for the info...it doesnt really sound like me though...I can understand your skeptism about IBS, I can be skeptic to...however I treated it as IBS, and thus did what i could to treat me effectively and it helped..luckily its not like they have medication or something. So at this point i don't care what it is, it's under control lol. I have a chronic pain and fatigue condition (Fibromylagia syndrome) that is persistent everyday, so it kind of makes IBS seem like nothing...haha. I mean when it was bad, okay it kind of owned me for a while, but now it's fine..I can deal with the odd attack. I do everything to treat this other condition using my attitude and behaviour like I did for IBS so it's very good considering the other people i know with it...just find what works for you, i hope you can figure something out.

Yes, sorry thats what I mean, I have tested that out and it does not seem to be the issue, as far as I can tell anyway, it seems to happen more so if I eat spicey foods, food with any type of onion and greasy foods.
Maybe an Ulcer or something?
Like I said its not every time this week it happened 2 times (once from jack in the box fish N chips and the other from a hand full of tortilla chips, less I have eaten the shorter the episode) but before that it had been a month or more before that maybe 2-3 months....its very speratic...sorry I cant spell LOL.
I first thought gallbladder cause it runs in the fam (same grandparent I got the stones from) he told me of the same issues he was having before they removed his, but the Drs did an ultra sound and say my gallbladder looks good (they told him that too they ended up opening him up for somthing else and his gallbladder was VERY bad so they took it out) SO I am tending not to beleive them.

I can totaly understand that, they think my mom has Fibromylagia syndrome after getting bit by a spider, they think black widow but are not 100% all her organs were swollen and she still has flare ups over a year later!

I do get angziety but I have always been able to control it cause its only triggered by things like blinds swinging or a fan wobbling, stiff like that, nothing social related or anything, I do get stressed but I know how to de-stress, I do yoga and go on walks in the morning...over all I am pretty easy going and calm...so I dont know....

why cant any of this be easy LOL

Hahaha who knows ...life is never easy, that's what makes it so interesting I guess :) That's odd that your mom's organs are swollen/inflammed...I sure am glad I don't have that symptom, I just have every single other one :) haha. I have had mine since early childhood and was diagnosed at 19. Most cases are like your mothers, where they live a free life then one day a traumatic event happens or there is trauma to the body...like getting bit by a spider hehe. Sometimes I say my traumatic event was going through the birth canal ;) haha. Anyway...I sure do hope you are able to control your stomach symptoms, they can be very embaressing and annoying. Best of luck to you and your mom!

oh also, I can not eat any dairy, I am not lactose intolorant and I am not allergic, it will just tare up my stomach something awfull, I was able to drink it just fine untill after I had my daugher 9 years ago....(I think its something they are putting in the food now a days)

We drink Rice milk and I home cook everything since My daughter and I have issues, they are still not sure whats wrong with her, I just submitted 6 different stool samples for her, they though bad constipation but she did the cleans and has been on Mirilax and pro-biotics and still wakes at least once a week with nausia and stomach cramping, I dont let her eat sugary foods other than fruit and no white bread, low fat and low sodeum, we EVEN moved thinking maybe it was environmental! but no...Shes been tested for everything and if the poop tests come back neg we are going to have to do the scopes down the throat and up the rear and scan her....I just cant believe all this crap with the stomach issues, is it just chance we both are having issues or could it be something genetic....I am lost

You sound like me! It doesn't happen all the time and is triggered by various foods/drinks. I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome...basically, the doctors do not know exactly what is wrong, but know that something is not right, so they call it this. It can increase in occurance and intensity with hightened anxiety levels, such as before a test or interview. The attacks are hard to predict, and when they first started they were as bad as you describe. I would get dizzy, break into cold sweats, feel very nausious from the pain, have extremely horrible stomach cramps etc. I still get these attacks, however I have been able to control them. I watch what I eat, the combination of foods that I consume, and the biggest thing has been controlling my anxiety. You may not have high anxiety, but for me controlling it by deep-breathing exercises, stress-management techniques and dealing with the past helped so much. However, the attacks do tend to come back when its that time of the month, and anxiety levels naturally increase as well as overall abdominal discomfort. Anyway, if celiacs is out of the question, then I would probably say it is IBS.
I am not a doctor, but I will tell you one thing which I am sure the GI told you...record everything you eat and drink for two weeks, as well as record whenever you have an episode. This will help you eliminate major triggers. I had to do this, and was off carbonated drinks, anything with high acid, raw vegtables, red meats, dairy, anything fried/deepfried...soo much. I slowly brought things back into my diet, especially the raw veggies since I don't like cooked ones, and eventually was able to eat normally (with the exception of only consuming extra lean meats and skim milk products). I don't know why it happened this way, I guess my stomach just needed a break? Everyone is different though, some combinations like delimeat and white bread make my stomach go nuts, whereas whole grain bread and lean delimeat is okay....weird. I wish you all the luck and I hope this answers your question...

Random...something ironic...next to where the posts are there is an advertisement for Cymbalta and it is targetting people with Fibromyalgia...haha. I don't know why since it's an antidepressant....but oookay! haha
