stomach dysmotility?

Hi All, I'm rather new at this and hope someone can help?! I have been suffering with upper middle stomach pain which radiates into my back and is at times really painful. I also feel really nauseous and its beginning to get me down.... I have been referred to a specialsit who has done scan - clear, endoscopy (over a year ago) - mild reflux, and recently a CAT scan which has shown up nothing related but a cyst on my liver and ovary?! I am now waiting for a 24hr pH test and another similar which measures pressure in my stomach. Both involve tubes down my nose - can't wait?! and he believes it could be stomach dysmotility. Anyone had anything similar? I'm supposed to be going away in 2 weeks and feel I may not be able to go.... any help out there?
 
Hi, I have the same thing. I have bad pain right under neath my left breastbone kinda on the side of my stomach. My doctors have come to the conclusion they think i have a hiatal hernia, and possibly uclers too.

For some reason, it seems like a lot of Gerd people have pain right there. Not sure why that is or if it is anything to be concerned about.

I had an upper Gi on tuesday and waiting to see if it came back with a hernia or ulcer.. doctor says i might need surgery to fix it because of how many symptoms ....
 
Have you had your gallbladder removed? Those sound like the exact same symptoms that I had before my gallbladder went bad and was removed.
 
I have no motility in my esophagus, judging by what you said I am sure you know that means I have no contractions in the esophagus to push the food down. What you might be getting is esophageal spasms, that can give you terrible pain at the place you are talking about, it feels to me like I am having a heart attack, thankfully I know that I am not. I take muscle relaxers for this, it does help a lot.

Hey girls hope you dont mind if i jump in here.What kind of pain in the upper stomach are we talking about.Where is the pain located,in the middle or either side?Your symptoms sound similar to what i have.Take care.:wave:
