Stolen phone *help*

Need some help please

My sis lives in omaha and had her phone stolen (i called and talked to the thief for awhile, nice enough person i guess.....)
I asked if she reported it as stolen and she said she called 800CRICKET but was not given the option to cancel for lost/stolen (??). My sister is a brilliant person who has a masters in classics and is a latin prof, but suffers from chronic naivete. Anyway, she didnt think it was a big deal cause the bills due in a few days and when she doesnt pay, the service will just be canceled (bad guy cant run up a bill as all a/t is free and she doesnt have ld or any other services).
Will this stop her from getting another cricket service? Any problems with her plan?

just buy a replacement phone and report the other as stolen.. it have it cancelled immediatelly.. why hurt her record at cricket?
 
yeah i recommend the same thing get a diff cheap phone from craigslist or somewhere and activate it on the account and cancelle the other one and report it stolen.
 
you need to choose option 4 i believe when you call to 1800 cricket. if you are still having trouble, you will need to go to a corporate store to report it stolen and either cancel or suspend service.
