The finale was shown that Serena has feelings for Dan. :nod: Now while some people clearly didn't choose to see those feelings, the writers wanted you to see them thus setting up what we know is happening in season 4. I mean the fact that Serena questioned if her kiss with Dan meant anything should have been the first clue that Dan wasn't just a mistake or a prop as I have heard used and I will try to contain my laughter about that (......wait sorry I can't :lmao:). Dan and Serena have way too much history to ever be used as a prop and especially for a couple who had less than 10 episodes together. Give me a break. I tend to be right when it comes to things about them. I always said NS and DV would happen and the way they did came as no surprise to me. The fact that Serena got with Nate the way she did should have told you everything about that pairing you needed to know. The writers didn't put much time into their journey, which leads me to believe it was, has always been, and will always be about Dan and Serena. They will be the younger version of Rufus and Lily and they will be the ones to get it right this time around.

But seriously, she belongs with Dan. He is her heart. Brooklyn is where she belongs. It's always been where she has felt most comfortable. She can love other people, sure, but no one can replace Dan in her life, in her heart.

In her story, Dan is her hero, her best friend, her confident, her everything.

If you watched this series from beginning to end (thus far) it has been the Dan and Serena story. :nod: Them together, falling in love and everything that brings including heart break. We have seen them fight and be jealous, and be sad and angry, and giddy and incredibly happy and all those emotions that make for such a good relationship. We saw all the ups and downs of an epic love story in the making. :nod:


Love is worth fighting for, and Dan and Serena have always done that with each other. Their parents being married and them having to deal with sharing a brother has been hard on both of them, and they never broke up because they didn't love each other or they didn't want to be together but the circumstances of that situation at the time was was hard. They tried to do what was best and move on, but as we see it now, they can't do that. Serena will never get Dan out of her heart, and that's what this show has told us over and over and over (if you actually pay attention to the story that is being shown and not just something you choose to see).

Her post-Nate breakup attitude makes me :lol:. She sulked and cried and moped after she and Dan broke up. She was devastated. And after Nate she was like WWOOOOO yoga, WWOOOOO Paris! bahahaha. That's real heartbreak. And Nate was with hookers at the end. That's real love!
