Stippling brush or sponge wedges?

So ( i always begin my question with so lol) i just brought the NARS sheer glow foundation and i was wondering which would be better to apply? I have been using the maybelline pure make up using the sponge wedges and it wasnt that thick but the NARS is a tad bit thicker. So will the brush be better and who has the best stippling brush.. i wouldnt to buy one from mac but it was like $39
