Still unemployed...

Ok, I still don't have a job and it's been nearly a month. I've put in lots of apps. and done quite a few call backs. I just don't get it. I'm a super hard worker and all yet I have so much trouble getting into a new job. I think partly it has to do with my anxiety to change jobs. Cuz like, I dunno, what if I can't do it well enough, or fast enough, or whatever. I guess I'm just afraid of failure. But I need the money, so I'm gadda keep trudging along. Does anyone have any tips to help me do better both with my fear of rejection and failure and for actually landing a new job? It would be greatly appreicated. Thanks!
 
Have u called them back for a follow up, cuz I've even been doin that and gettin nowhere. But yeah, a follow up call is critical. U should try that at a few places if u havent already. But I hate it cuz I've flown through like $300 from my saving since I quit and now I'm goin broke. :cryme:
 
Yeah. I do that. I'm looking for some work that will help me experience wise later in life. So basically some secritarial work cuz I wanna go into business for myself one day and I'll need to know how to do that. It's just like, nobody is hiering now. It's so frustrating.

I'm in the same boat as you... last week friday was my last day of work... now i'm back here, doing nothing... hell, i don't really even wanna look, but i have to, or i'll end up as a street bum.
 
It's all about your attitude! Always do your home work on the position your applying for! There has only been one job I didn't get, at the time I didn't realize it but I was WAY outta my league. But I have always had an out going attitude! When I'm interviewed I have covered my bases well, and feed'em so much bullshit that they don't think twice b-fore they shake your hand and say "WECOME ABOARD"! Experience also plays a major part, it helps to know what your talkin about while your shmoozin'em. I always tell them how adding me to the crew will maximize efficiency because my turn around time is quick, and my quality is unmatched! Which in turn will boost your sales when customers see that they can have their printing 1-2 days earlier than joe blow down the street, and the quality is a 10!

The one that got away was a few years ago, I applied to run this huge Heidleberg SM 72 (see pic) , and didn't know much about it I thought they all ran the same!!!! Wrong I couldn't talk my way through it and didn't get the call! Now, down the road I operate this press, but then It was way over my head!
