Still low power output after running bike on dyno & remapped & yoshi R55 slip on...

...upgrade. what could be wrong? This weekend, I’ve had my bike fitted with a Yoshimura R55 slip on exhaust and remapped on dyno through an official Suzuki dealer.

Gained a bit of power but still a bit disappointed with overall performance. According to reviews my bike, with the stock exhaust should have 108hbp!!! When my bike ran the dyno, (GSXR600 K8 with 7000miles on it with Stock exhaust) I got 98hbp. Now with the Yoshi upgrade, dyno & re-mapping, I now have 105.7 hbp. That is still less than what my bike should have with a stock exhaust.

I haven’t installed mods that could increase the bike weight – Why is it so low?

Thanks,
S

Engine's usually become weaker as miles are piled onto it. But usually as long as you stay on top of maintenance it should generally do alright.

On a side note, I love Gixxers. I have a ZX-6R myself, and that might be my next bike =P

Good luck.

You bike stock has 108 bhp at the crank, not at the rear wheel so 98 at the rear wheel is quite normal. Your gain of just under 10 % is about right and I am not surprised that you do not notice it much. getting a GSXR 750 would have been a much better idea.
I was at Mallory Park yesterday for the washout BSB and the Supersports did run with quite a big field of bikes - NOT ONE Suzuki GSXR600 among them. A mate of mine (teaches mechanics) says they are not as responsive to tuning as their competition but are better road bikes as a result.
