Does anyone else find the ludicrous films of this ludicrous man as addictive as I do.
Despite the cheesiness, the terrible dialogue, the identical plotting, his ridiculous appearence and the ways they try to hide his expanding waistline I cant resist them.
He plays an "ex" something in practically every film ( CIA, V ietnam Vet, Cop or whatever) and his daughter seems to get held hostage a lot.
Any extras of these straight to DVD efforts. are priceless.
Seagal is usually praised to the rafters by his co-stars as a "true visionary" - its all great stuff.
Roll on the next one.
With a bit of luck he might direct it himself, or obtain the services of his past collaborator the fabulously named Don E. Fauntleroy.
 
Yep. You can't beat his latest ex-CIA comes out of retirement/demoted cop getting his rank back avenging his ex-CIA bosses/ex partners murder / daughters kidnapping by his old (oriental) nemesis drug dealer using only yoga/buddism romps.
 
Have not seen his films in years. Its like Van Damme who just make pointless straight to dvd movies now. There is no place in todays market for films like theres anymore.
 
Totally - I love his films. He went through a bit of an "eco-friendly" period a few years back that I wasn't too keen on but then he came back pretty strong again.

With "Renegade Justice" last year he was back on form - it was total death, destruction and annihilation of every bad guy in sight.

I went to see him in concert last year with his Blues band - like about 99% of people there - out of sheer curiosity and he is an impressive figure and he was really friendly with the audience - you still wouldn't want to mess with the guy though.
 
I love the way his films begin with building up his peaceful benign persona, and then he spenRAB the rest of the film despatching baddies in gruesome detail. :p

What about the one with Michael Caine where our eco-warrior enRAB the film by destroying an oil refinery, am I alone in thinking that would have caused an awful mess.:confused:
 
He hit his form with Under Siege that was a great action film, others that were good, Out for justice, Hard to Kill, and Marked For Death.
He then did the Eco friendly films On Deadly Ground with Micheal Caine and his dodgy hairdo, and also Fire Down Below with Marge Helenburger of CSI fame, that was quite a good film, now they are straight to DVD but you can always gurantee action in his films anyway.

Sorry forgot to add The Glimmer Man that was also one of his best.
