Stereo system with built in bluetooth drain car battery?

I just bought a Pioneer FHP8000BT and it has built in bluetooth. My fear is that since the bluetooth is, I'm assuming, always activated on the stereo to look for my phone that it will drain the battery when the car isn't running. Is this something I should be worried about? Are there precautions I can take so this does not happen?
