Stereo receiver stopped working?

I was doing some stuff with my stereo today. I was listening to a record and then i took the record player off of the system to use it elsewhere. I forgot to turn my receiver off though. It was on for about an hour and now it won't work. On the receiver it says "output" with two indicator lights. One says "standby" and the other says "on". THe standby light is lit and there is no button to switch it to on. Do you think it is busted? It is a Technics SA-810 and i think it is from like 1998. WHat should I do? Thanks
