When I was boating last weekend my stereo on my boat just stopped all the sudden. When I got home I thought it was just a fuse so I check the fuse on the back of the radio and that was fine and then under the steering wheel is the fuse pannel which has a line of fuses all over with a rubber protective casing so not being able to get to the fuse from the front I took the whole panel off and from behind it, it looks like each is a cartridge fuse but when I pulled it out and checked it with my voltage meeter it gave me a reading, so that has to be good too. What else can it be anyone have this problem before? Thanks

Had the same problem, either my radio shorted out / or just got bounced around too much and broke. If the radio is getting power, but not lighting up ( and you made sure your speaker wires are secure and not corroded) its time to replace! Sorry But now you can upgrade to something kick aas

Since you apparently have easy access to the wiring of the stereo and most boats have easy access to the battery I suggest wiring the stereo straight to the battery to make sure the stereo isn't broken. If it works, you have a wiring or fuse problem to trace. If it doesn't, you need a new stereo and you haven't wasted a lot of time troubleshooting.
