I don't like movies that don't have the same actors in the first one and than call it a sequel. :lol: This has nothing to do with the two main characters from Step Up, so just call it a different name!
 
I agree about the dancing in this one...............totally surpassed the first.

And Rob is just phenomenal.

Adam/Moose was such a cutie and scene stealer. Loved his moves. :lol:
 
I don't remember the song. If I see it again, I'll be on the look out.

I agree C-Money. Sexy as heck. I was dieing too.

I loved that it was all in the rain. Made it look even cooler.

I loved all the music too.

Story wise, I didn't think the movie was as good as the first, but the dancing in this one totally surpassed that of the first. Rob is incredible. I first discovered he was a pro dancer when You Got Served first came out, and I've been hooked on him since. If people weren't aware of Rob's dancing before this movie -- I'm sure they'll be stunned. He's just phenomenal. And um, hello!? His pirouettes are unreal -- so much power and strength. Briana is awesome and everything, but I don't think she was strong enough for this role. She's still gorgeous though!

i 100% agree. i didnt realize how hot he was in "she's the man". anywho it must have been the hot dancing.

and i personaly like this one way better then the first.

hey does anyone know what song played when Chase was dancing in the auditon room infront of his brother before andie danced?
 
i loved the first film, it had a real classic dirty dancing type feel

hopefully this one will do just as well, obviously better then STLD2 cause that was stright to DVD and i cant bare to watch it, i just know it would break my julia stiles loving heart, lol

do we know what the storyline is yet?
 
I know Rob Hoffman is super talented!!! I am excited to see him in a lead role... but the other lead Brian Evigan (Andie) looks really talented .. you can see her dance some in the trailer .. and she looks like she will def. hold her own with Rob!

THAT! That was the sexiest move ever. HOLY SHIZ. I thought I was going to die. I remember first seeing that move back in early 2000 when Diddy did it at the VMAs. But yeah, this one was better.

And Channing's dance move when he came out of his shirt...How do he do that?

The music was just freakin' awesome. Missy, Akon, Enrique, Cherish and of course, Flo Rida.

Oh, one last thing, Rob is freakin' F/CKABLE. Seriously.
 
I can't speak for everyone, but I'm a big fan of all styles of dancing so when a movie involving some type of dance comes out, I always check it out. That's not to say I love every single one, but more often than not, I do.

I saw the movie today and absolutely loved it. I feel like we got even more dance this time around which is awesome.

I was happy to see Channing in the movie! :)

Rob was great as was the actress playing Andie.

And I too was really impressed with Adam/Moose.

Seriously I have no complaints. I want to see it again!!
 
Oh I actually saw part of the sequel to that (Save the Last Dance) the other day... but didn't that go straight to video .. or am I wrong?

Step Up 2 is actually coming out to theaters so I am thinking it haaaaaaaaas to be better!
I totally wrote off the first one because I didn't recognize the actors and didn't see it until one day I decided to rent it because there was nothing else out and totally loooooooved it ...
I loved the dance scenes and I think this had a large part with the casting of people who could actually dance instead of teaching an actor a few steps ...
From what I have read they are going the way with the next one... Robert Hoffman is supposed to be an amazing dancer & from what I have seen so far.. I approve!!!
and I can't wait to see what he comes out with in the movie....
 
Haven't seen the first one, but I will definitely check this one out, cause I really like Rob Hoffman :)
 
the movie is great the dancing is great the guy is so hot i dont know which is hotter channing or brian there are both hot i did not like the main guy on the first team she was on he should have got hurt for hurting brian that was just mean the cd for the movie is ok i liked it i was upset the song money in the bank was not on there it is a great song .
 
Yeah I am feeling skeptical too... I mean "usually dance movies.. especially since the first one was such a huge hit.. and its popularity it so stand alone that it doesnt need for a sequel.


I mean they did the same thing with Save the last dance.
 
Ya I totally understand being skeptical about it being a sequel but as far as dance movies go I really think this one is going to be great mainly because Robert Hoffman is such an awesome dancer.. I even read he went and "studied" with local b-boys and girls to get more into that culture .. you can get an idea of how good he is in the video....
