Hello, My grandmother recently had an ILIAC Stent Placed to remove blockage behind her right knee. All things went well so we thought...
Recently she had been admitted to the ER and then to the MED/SURG floor due to respritory/ unknown infection (slight fever) issues. while in the ER a nurse was placing a cathader and thought she saw a 'Pine Needle' emitting from the vagina. When the nurse tried to remove the object she felt resistance and therefor stopped pulling. It was later found that the object is a maroon wire, and we are all stumped as to how it got lodged in her vagina. Could it be the guidewire? if so how could it get in her Vagina?
