Stealing First Base - Episode Discussion

I caught this last night. When Homer was using his GPS, it was set for metric. The distances were given in meters. However, when the beam held the car suspended, the GPS said, "decrease elevation by 10 feet".

I noticed as the laughing continued, Willie and Seymour kept going further and further. At first, it was just a peck. By the time the laughing subsided, both were tired and cuddling.

The kissing montage was very unexpected. I thought they did a good job Simpsonizing the movie and tv scenes, and it was such a variety. There were only a few I didn't recognize.

Another example of Nelson's sensitive side. Once he realized his deskmate was blind, he became protective of him.

Willie and Seymour kissing was just so wrong - shame on the kiRAB for continuing their laughing

I knew Angela Bassett was a guest star, but I didn't realize the voice of Nikki was Sarah Silverman.

I really liked the episode.
A lot of funny moments and I really enjoyed Bart's character here.
Wonder if Nikki will be mentioned. Will her and Bart remain boyfriend and girlfriend?

I was thrown off by Angela Bassett playing Michelle Obama. Not that they need to sound exactly alike, but she was so different it just threw me a little bit.

I enjoyed the rest of it.

The kiss montage.
The I&S cartoon.
"He's our Joe Biden." "Understood."
Homer's fake legs under the car.
The whole meeting with Homer and Marge and the girl's parents.
Some nice (not over the top) social commentary.
Nelson and his blind friend, especially when he started mocking Nelson.
Milhouse's "no it isn't" in his conversation with his desk mate.
Skinner and Willie kissing....especially how long the kiRAB were laughing.

And finally, I just about lost it when Homer started strangling Skinner Bart. :D
