STD TEST FOR A WOMEN?

Their going to ask you about your sexual and health history, take some blood, and a urine sample. They will most likely do an HIV test which takes about a week to come back and they can't give you the answers over the phone so you will have to go back into receive the results. While a week can feel like a very long time, it's definitely something that you want to know.
 
What do they do when you get std tested?
i am very scared of getting tested but i know i need to can you guys let me know what they do? and if its really that bad? thx
 
Women are tested by blood and by vaginal cultures. These cultures are done at the same time your pap smear is performed and takes seconds!! In these cultures and pap can be tested for HPV (genital warts, cervical cancers etc) Trichamonas (bacterial infection, gardnerella) and also Gonorrhea / Chlamydia. If left untreated can lead to PID (pelvic inflammatory diesease) sterilization etc Bloodwork can show Syphilis, Herpes , HIV .... all of it sounds bad and can be if you are not aware of your status!! Testing doesnt hurt , get it done , out of the way , and ALWAYS use protection... think to yourself not only am I sleeping with this person but every person he has slept with and so on n on ...
