Stay Locked onto T-Mobile Network

Is there a way to make the 8120 stay manually on the T-Mobile network and not ever pick AT&T? In NY I have low signal on T-Mobile and than it will change to AT&T and say "SOS". That is because in the area where I am, I don't think T-Mobile has a roaming agreement with AT&T - basically the device isn't registering on AT&T's network.

So how can you make it never pick AT&T? Because right now on manual selection, it won't stay on T-Mobile.
 
Hmm have you tried the automatic mode? I know that technically shouldn't make sense however if manual isn't working then automatic might. I have mine on automatic and it never ever picks up another carrier at any signal strength.
 
goto http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/ and you can enter in your home address to see if thereis poor servce there. if there isnt then have your sim card changed
