I have a buddy that wants to get his concealed license but is a little concerned that maybe his fingerprints may come back to a stupid mistake when he was 18 years old (22 years ago). He was involved in stealing some stuff out of some vehicles. He is a perfect citizen and never in trouble and I don't think he needs to worry as I tell him if they were looking for him they would have found him already as his prints are on record in another state from more 18 year old kid trouble. Does anyone know about these things? I think he should be fine.
this is not a question concerning if he can get his permit as he can because he was never a suspect in a crime.It is a question as to if it was a felony and if he could get in trouble after all of these years by having his fingerprints run in this state where he broke the law.His fingerprints were on file but in another state.Not sure if they got prints all of those years ago and could be waiting in a database to be matched to a current set.He does not want a 22 year old 18 year old kid mistake causing trouble now.
