Q1: There is a course that has 900 students and broken down into section with 30 students. The class average of the final is 63 and the sd is 20. One section averaged 55. If one assistant said if they took 30 students at random there is a good chance they would average below 55 on the final and its chance variation. Is this a good defense? Whats the p value?

Q2: An article says freshmen spend 7.5 hours a week going to parties. An administrator doesn't believe that and does her own test where she randomly picked 100 freshmen and got 6.6 hours and an sd of 9. is the difference real? what is the p value?
