Stationary bikes.....?

Do you think using a stationary bike is good for exercise during pregnancy? And is this a method to bring on labor instead of walking? I'm starting to feel really painful when I walk now (36 weeks + 4 days) i'm not thinking about her coming out early, but when I am full term, i'd like to know a good exercise method that works effectively.
obviously you are an absolute fool. a stationary bike is different to a standard bike, duh! and they are 100% safe.

I have always been told to not bike when pregnant. By mom mom who is a nurse and who has three kids, and by my doctor. Although they didn't say not to do it too much in the first trimester, once you get into the second & third, it shifts your weight back and forth too much which can be uncomfortable or bad for the baby. I don't see how, I am just letting you know what my doctor said. I love riding my bike, and I asked about a stationary one as well but she said even though my body is used to biking, it may not like it too much now that I have a baby growing in my belly. Just ask your doctor to be sure. If walking is painful, then just relax. No bike, no walking, just lay back with your feet up. Once active labor starts, then maybe try methods that help labor.

It sounds fine to me! I have them at the gym at my school and have thought about trying them out. Its not like your going to wreck
