I am a freshman in college, only 18, and I enjoy literature very much. I write short-stories for fun, when I'm not reading, and I am hoping to find a magazine, book company, or some place that will at least consider publishing my stories. I am not looking to make a ton of money or any money really, I just enjoy writing a lot and I think that it would be wonderful to be a published author. I figure that if I can get at least one story published I can have enough confidence to write a full length story. I am not looking for fame or big big money, just a leaping point, so to speak. The stories I write are either one of these following genres or a combination of them: science-fiction, social satire, and fiction. I have black-humor in my stories and a lot of sarcasm as well, I just don't know if a publisher would consider publishing stories of that sort. If anyone could help, that would be lovely.
