This morning I woke up fine and headed off to work. At around 11 AM I began to feel a pain that felt like I was just very hungry. I had eaten breakfast before-hand. As the day progressed it got worse. It was very uncomfortable and I tried eating around 2 but that did not help and I did not have much of an appetite, rather I felt worse just from trying to eat. I ended up leaving work early around 4. It is now 4am and I cannot sleep because it is so painful. I had some chicken soup an hour or two ago which I was able to finish, but often when swallowing the pain intensified right below my ribs and above my stomach.
I'm a 23 year old female. I just started my period; I have a bit of an iron deficiency but I have never had a pain like this before. I have not eaten anything out of the ordinary as far back as I can remember.
Any suggestions?
