I have a Ford Escort with starting problems. About a week ago one of my battery terminals came loose. As a temporary fix i used duct tape to keep it down. Now i go to start it up it will start but then within a second or so it dies out. I then turn it back on but i cant get it to start again. Something else to note is that when the terminals are connected, without the key in the ignition or anything, i have a few lights on my dash come on but they are dim. I can also hear some sort of faint almost alarm like sound when i have the hood open and connect the battery. its really faint. Oh and when i connect it it makes a clicking sound like a relay. Please help.
