You ever go to the gym and work out religiously for years, then say find someone you care about and let your self go, then TRY (and I do mean TRY) to go back to the gym!?!?!?!? Doesnt it suck more than anything knowing that you were in SUCH GOOD SHAPE and now you cant do 25% of what you could.
Take me for instance. Last year I was up to bench pressing 365lbs in JUNE. I went on vacation had a good time came back and my life went to shit w/ work and personal issues that just fucking come up. I was thinking about moving to fl so I canceled my gym membership (cause you have to do so 90days in advance) and it ran up in NOV. I was planing on moving to FL in FEB. Well as fate would have it, I let my self go. Gained alot of weight, lost alot of strength. I then find that my wife gets a kick ass promo at work and now we dont have to pay rent any longer (she is the rental agent at the houseing developement we live in) and I get a kick ass raise of 5200 a year from my boss. So we decide, lets stay in NJ. So I REJOINED the GYM a fat outta shape bastard and ATTEMPT to work out. Well my fat ass could only do sets on the bench w/ 225 (only one set of 10 at that weight) where as 9 months ago I would warm up w/ 225. WTF!!!!! I feel like a fucking piece of shit to know that I HAD the gains and now I have to WORK MY FUCKING ASS OFF TO GET THEM AGAIN!!!!! God Damn Man!!!!

P.S. I love this forum !!

Try never working out then trying to start a workout schedule. Yeah, didn't last very long. I thought I was going to die. Bla. Anyway, I know exercise is good for you, but it's a killer.

I haven't had any problems with losing strength, or gaining weight, but my body has become extremely unhealthy due to the toxins put in it.

It's pretty sad when a doctor says "You better start taking care of yourself, or your grandmother will end up outliving you."

That alone makes you want to just give up in general and allow your body to continue on its path of destruction.

p.s. I love your avatar!

It shouldnt take too long to get it all back. Be happy you can put on weight, isn't it true fat can be burnt to muscle? I can't put on weight no matter how much i eat. I'm pretty thin but its interesting what you can do with weights when you're on a schedule. Lucky for me my dad has a shitload of weights and half a gym in our garage, so i just use that whenever i can. Anyways i'm sure you'll get it back man, don't give up.

Fat doesn't turn into muscle :) You can lose fat... but muscle is muscle and fat is fat, they dont convert
