I am starting a new computer business. I needed 1 or 2 questions answered!

For example - if I needed to purchase 1000 Intel So and So processors.. I obviously wouldnt want to go to Walmart. I have heard of "wholesalers" who need your tax ID etc.. I signed up for several.. every one had higher prices than Newegg etc.. Any better ideas ? Thanks!

If you really want to start a computer manufacturing business and you are expecting to make a lot of purchases of various computer components you will want to go directly to the manufacturer to make your order. Contact Intel for your chips, microsoft for software, etc. They probably won't take you seriously if you don't have a lot of money to throw at it though. Most computer makers these days dont carry inventory. In other words Dell doesn't buy 1,000 Intel chips, build 1000 computers, then try to sell them. Instead they receive an order from a customer pretending that they have a computer in stock and will ship it to them, then they order the parts in, manufacture it, and send it out to the customer. Its a very efficient system, and it insures that dell doesn't get stuck owning a stockpile of computers that are constantly losing value (as computers do) and that they can't sell.

Lots of little computer manufacturers will buy large lots of stuff off of ebay or newegg (you can usually get a better deal on lots). Then they will make the computers and sell them off for a profit. It's a pretty competitive business though, you will need to find some way to set yourself apart. Have fun!
