Went to fire up my jeep after sitting for almost a year and got nothing but clicking from two different batteries and a jump. I was unsure if it was the starter that was broken or the solenoid so I drug the starter into Autozone where they tested it and said it passed. I went ahead and bought a solenoid and threw that on and put the starter back on. Now I get nothing when I turn the key. I jumpered the starter straight to a 12v and I got a low-groaning sound for a few seconds, then nothing. I used a test light and was getting power through the solenoid when the key was turned. Everything seems to be a bad starter to me, but I've already tested it and it passed. Did I miss something?
