I have a 2000 Toyota Tundra, 4.7 V8, 4WD, auto trans.
I am looking to buy a starter and several are available ranging from 1.2kw to 2.0kw. Price differences are negligible. What is standard, and is there a reason to consider a more powerful starter?
It appears the solenoid is part of the starter package. I haven't replaced a starter since the 80's but seem to recall the solenoid being a part that needed to be purchased separate from the starter. Did my memory fail me or do they now typically include the solenoid?

I sourced several starters of different wattage in the $150-$200 range - after market rebiulds. I just need to know which wattage to pick. Available are 1200, 1400, 1800 & 2000.
