Haven't seen it yet, but it was Straight-to-DVD if that helps.

I think they are actually doing a third film now though.

The plot basically sees the bug able to infect and take over human hosts. they want to get back to earth in human form and destroy our race. Troopers and Bugs in Human form trapped together and must kill the other to get rescued and return to earth.

Only good thing about the film is that blonde chick from 'Nip Tuck' and 'The Marine' is in it and she's naked.

I used to really enjoy the CGI animated TV series; I think it was called Ricos Roughnecks! Very advanced for its time!

the whole film is just pointless. i remember starship troopers foundly. a fantstic return to Sci-fi for Paul Verohoven. a lot riding on a sequal - and what they made was just awful. whilst making it - whilst the writters where devising it- why oh why did they just think - "lets not do this - its crap".....

Was on TV a little while ago I think, have to agree it looked dire. Not a 'proper' big budget movie like the original.

I enjoy pretty much all Sci-fi or mindless action films...... Except this one. If you enjoyed ST1 then don't watch this one, it'll just ruin the memories of the 1st!

Does this one have any of the criticisms of capitalism/ commercialism and jabs at the U.S's idea of colonialism/foreign policy that the first featured? which made the film so enjoyable.
