!!!Star Wars!!!

I recently watched Ep I and II back to back. I came up with the following startling conclusion: Clones is a much worse movie than Phantom. Don't get me wrong, both are alarmingly bad, but the best I can put it is that Phantom, with some pretty radical changes would at least be rescued. Nothing could be done for Clones. It is pointless, directionless and dull, and has significantly worse dialogue and acting than Phantom throughout. Don't get me wrong, the worst bits of Phantom (*that* character, Greg Proops, etc.) are significantly worse than the worst bits of Clones, but TPM has a few pretty good bits - Clones has practically none. Where Phantom has the podrace, which could be 'rescued' by removing any CGI cartoon characters (die Proops die), nothing could rescue the Super Mario Brothers bit of Clones. Where Phantom cuts away to Maul/Jinn/Kenobi, the arena battle has 3PO's "comedy" ruining any pace or suspense in that fight itself. And don't get me started on boosters on R2 and Yoda the green rubber ball.

Two messes of movies, just, in the light of a few years for the hurt to go away (Phantom being such a disappointment, but such low expectations for Clones), the order of badness as reversed from what I had initially thought.

Much as I loved Sith, it still wasn't in the league of the Holy Trilogy. It han't the soul, the dialogue was much worse, and Hayden was still wooden as hell.

I thought ROTS was a great movie but the bad points in my opinion is Hayden Christiansen and his poor acting,I am just dissapointed that the greatest villain of all time is played by such a bad actor, I am sure I would of been a better choice for the role. Also the amount of CGI used is far too much ad at times it just feels like your watcing a cartoon they should have used more real models and men in suits like the originals thats wheta made them so good

My favourite fight was Obi Wan and Qui-Gon Jin vs Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace.

I think a lot of people liked it because it was new in a way, we had never seen a 'proper' light sabre fight before, only old men, cyborgs and inexperienced Jedi's when cgi wasn't around.

It was very well chreographed and the duel of the fates music was fantastic.

thats how i would rate star wars wouldnt mind seeing the not seens lol.

A New Hope - not seen
Empire Strikes Back - not seen
Return Of The Jedi - not seen

Phantom Menace - 8
Attack Of The Clones - 5
Revenge Of The Sith - 9

i thought hayden christensen was pretty poor in AotC but in RotS i think that he was able to give the evil that was needed.....thats just my opinion though. And yeah it took no time at all.

And I could really have lived without seeing Darth Vader raise his fists and scream "Nooooooooooooo...."

But still enjoyed it overall,

one thing tho, I think it's a real shame that Lucas made Padme say the twins names as they were born, for any future generation watching them in order, when they reach EP4 they already know Luke and Leia are twins and that Big Darth is the daddy so the whole "obi wan never told you" and "no, there is another" has no impact

please excuse my starwars geekyness,

i enjoyed RotS alot except one thing. why did Hayden decide that to look like a bad guy you have to have a huge frown on your face. It seemes that the minute he slashed off mace's arm he did nothing but frown. if that is all it takes too be considered bad i must be the king of bad men.
