Star Wars

Excellent there is somebody else who agrees with me!! FrienRAB think I have taken leave of my senses but its good to know I am not the only one :)

Afraid so! My mate made me watch them, and I was totally bored afraid to say :) I did try and enjoy them! In fairness I loved The Phantom Menace Jar Jar Binks, the best character! :D

I've enjoyed all the Star Wars films.
At least you gave the films a chance some people can be very quick to say they don't like a film/s without even seeing it.

I am watching A New Hope on ITV1 at the moment, just a shame they aren't showing the recent cleaned up DVD version.

Meh, nice to see them unchanged!

Now I know you're saying that to annoy the fans!

I do love the films, but not fanatically. I hate the new ones though.

Mark Hamil is ace and gorge!

The original Star Wars Trilogy were amazing to me as I was just a kid when they first hit the cinemas.

The recent ones were good, but didn't have the same magic and as much as I love the Star Wars movies, I can quite understand someone watching 'The Phantom Menace' without having watched a single Star Wars movie before and thought to themselves - What the frig is going on here?

The Phantom Menace was ok to good
Attack of the Clones was enjoyable and worth watching a second time
I am looking forward to Revenge of the Sith this coming year....

....but as I say, they do not have the same magic to me as the original ones.

watch the first half and hour or so of a new hope ..... obi wan "ben" kenobi's statements ring quite true, like .....

"don't seen to remember owning a droid!" ..... he never did "own" one!
and when he was talking about the lightsabre, he says it is from "a more civilalised era!" ..... considering how grimy and used the era they were in, compared to TPM and AotC!

let's face it, obi-wan was lying through his damn teeth .....

to slag off star wars now is to miss the whole point.

when star wars came out in 1978 and you saw it as 6yr old it was the most fantastic thing you'd ever seen.

i don't think it was ever really meant to stand the test of time as a cinema great.

(although it certainly stood head and shoulders above other 70s sci-fi - eg "battlestar galactica" or "the black hole".)

I have just seen some new pictures from Revenge Of The Sith. One with Yoda on his knees and one where Padme is lying on her death bed. It looked very good.

There were also some of Palpatine.

Star Wars was released in 1977. Sorry, the dark side of the force tempted me to correct you with that one. What gets more annoyed though, is when you see people on t.v. saying "Star Wars was made in 1977".. I go aaarrrgghh every time - they started to make the film in 1975 for god sake. I want to hit and punch these people every time and slap them across the head with a wet haddock or summat. It really winRAB me up. Grrrr.

I'll go and calm down now - I promise.. :)

RegarRAB,

Jar Jar Binks Pwns Yoda!!! Jar Jar Binks Pwns Boba Fett!!! Jar Jar Binks Pwns Ewoks!!!

That ought to upset the real hardcore Star Wars fanatics.

I'll admit to like the original Star Wars Trilogy, haven't really liked the new movies much at all.
