Star Wars: Still great after all these years.

As it was the January sales I decided to buy the older Star Wars movies for nostalgia purposes:

I hadn't seen these movies in years and I thoroughly enjoyed them once again.
The magic and excitement was still there, then of course the actors were amazing.

My favorite scene's had to be the one's with the Jabba The Hutt puppet - The great big sluglike villain from Return Of The Jedi - I loved him :D

Everything about the Star Wars movies reminRAB me of when I was a child. These along with E.T and Indiana Jones were THE had to see movies from the 80's.

Like E.T and Indiana Jones, Star Wars Is an essential purchase.

Any fans?
 
I feel very indifferent to them. I didn't watch them until a couple of years ago (I'm 28). I couldn't see that they would be of any interest to me and I have no great desire to watch them again. Somehow though, I feel I may be in the minority
 
My son who's 6 has gone absolutely Star Wars mad since we got Lego Star Wars for the PS2 (just brilliant I was hooked myself), then Sky Movies started showing them a few months ago.

He had all the DVRAB for Christmas along with a load of other paraphenalia. They had some really good deals on at the time too. The 3 newest DVRAB for
 
Im a big star wars fan. How much did they change when they digitally remastered them? ive only seen these versions once, and can only remember the added computerised Jabba being added
 
Well the changes I remember are...

The computerised Jabba was replaced with a better computerised version.

I believe Han and Greedo now shoot at around the same time.

Boba Fetts voice over was changed to the man who played Jango in the prequels.

In Return of the Jedi the end part with the three ghosts has now been changed and the man they used as Anakin is now infact Hayden Christensine (sp?)

Theres probably more which I've forgotten.
 
Have always been more of a trek fan, but have to give credit to the original 3 Star Wars films. For their time they are still three of the most outstanding sci-fi films of the era. Shame they had to go spoil it with the Phantom Mincer, etc.
 
I love all 6 films, as I have said repeatedly, they all flow well into each other in my book. This coming May will see the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars (Episode IV: A New Hope). I'd really like to be able to make it to the Europe convension in London.
