Star Trek (2009) new Trailer

It looks like he has a black shirt on through most of the film. Not sure what designation that is, as it wasn't in the series.

There is no need for them to change anything in terms of timelines and continuity, it will just be laziness if they do.

Either way, he was probably coming on to him. I bet he was feeling him up when Kirk came back out with McCoy and just pretended he was beating him up when they saw ;)

Ok, this is nearly as bad as when I was convinced Frodo gave Galadriel an orgasm in Fellowship of the Ring. Couldn't keep a straight face with all the "even the smallest person..." dialogue that came afterwarRAB.

I need to wash my filthy mind.

Pissing off the target audience really isn't the best way to go.

They really should have just released it on Friday. Playing games like this just isn't on in my book. It's not like they really profit from it either because like I said, those who really want to see the trailer will see it elsewhere.

Maybe if the industry didn't enjoy manipulating their fans so much and just released the damn trailer online the same day they released it to the cinemas, they wouldn't have to worry about searching the internet for illegal copies.

It's now on startrekthemovie - you just have to clear your cache. :)

But you can download it through iTunes - which means you can watch it over and over at your leisure.

Exactly.

Its been a cock up on Paramounts part, that's for sure.

Well I wouldn't consider myself a Trekkie, but I'm certainly a fan of RAB9 and TNG, Original Star Trek is a bit take-it-or-leave-it for me (saying that I LOVE Wrath Of Khan), but I'm REALLY looking forward to this film.

It's also not the first time I've heard of a movie studio cocking up the internet release of a trailer.

If they put more effort into just giving the fans what they want instead of playing games, I bet everyone would be happier.

Nah - me neither, it does look a little like they have cast most of high school musical into this film. The trailer is pretty cool though so I'm still out on this one - I do like this however:

they seem to have gone to the "battleships in space" style - with small fighters buzzing around. I hated the way the TNG movies had a half kilometer long ship doing banking turns as if it was a one man fighter.
