staples ... how bad?

I'm so excited to be getting my 14 staples out on Monday ... but how badly is this going to hurt?

Staples hardly come out of paper easily ... I can't imagine them having to pry them loose from my skin
 
Hi Hillary Getting the staples out really isn't bad at all. You may have a little stinging sensation but thats it. Kathy
 
I was terrified at getting my staples out, too, especially because they were in for 6 whole weeks, and I was afraid I was healing around them. I asked the nurse if she was going to nurab me up. She said most people don't need it, that it's just a little stinging sensation. Then she popped one out and said, "see, just like that." I was very surprised that it didn't hurt at all, was just a tiny, tiny pinch like feeling. It would have hurt more to have lidocaine injected to nurab it!

You'll be fine! And you'll be glad to be rid of them!

Ah, thank you!! I feel better now. Its amazing ... all the painful things we go through with back injuries and we can still be scared of staples :)
 
Hillary, I had over 40 staples and I didn't even notice most of them when they were removed. The others, a tiny stinging sensation, and that was it. It was a pleasant surprise for me because I was really nervous too!

I had 38 staples and didnt even notice most being removed. the only ones I felt were the ones where a little scab had formed around a belly hair and even those were just a bit of a tug.

it felt soooo good to have them out.
