I'll try to explain as much as I can remember off the top of my head.
I'll start off my saying I have an HP Touchsmart PC IQ775.
In it is included: an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600
A couple of months ago my computer came up with this display driver error which is too complicated for me to even look back at now. It would basically cause these little distortion squares appear on my screen, then I'd get the blue screen of death after awhile.
So what my mom did was send it to staples, so they recovered it to factory default and now I have this the Graphics driver that's called: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. I was told this was because my computer didn't have original graphics driver installed so that's what it set it as automatically.
I tried using the NVIDIA website to to look for the driver. When I started up the drier install it said it wasn't the right driver, so it closed out of the installer. When I tried using the HP website, I got the update file, updated it , and when I tried to restart the computer it wouldn't start up.
Next start up it just gave me an option to start the computer in the last known settings, so it worked fine with the VGA Adapter again.
Here is some extra information:
*Windows Vista, Home Edition
*Manufacturer: Dell
*Processor AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58 1.90 GHz
*Memory(RAM) 2.00 GB
*System Type 32-bit Operating System
*HP Touchsmart IQ775
*My computer can't run the simplest games like Mine Craft, or Runescape.
Thanks so much for the help in advance.
