Stand-Up MRI vs Regular MRI

My understanding that stand-up is as accurate as "conventional". Perhaps more so, given that the patient is able to be scanned in different positions during the same session.
However, I'm not a doctor, so if you have a physician you trust and they feel strongly one way or the other, I would go with the advice he/she gives.

I went to see the Spine specialist yesterday and he said the the traditional MRI is better than the "Stand Up" ones. I'm in NYC, so it's easy to locate either, and he wasn't trying to sell me anything, so he didn't have any reason to lie to me. Maybe the reason we only find advertisements touting the Stand-Up MRI is because there is no one trusted source that will claim it's better than the original.
