Hi, I bought the normal one and saw one called "medicated" next to it on the aisle. The difference was it had 2% salysic acid and said it was for oily/acne prone skin which is my skin type. But sometimes with these skin care products the original one is better than the medicated...I use a Biore .5% salysic acid facial cleanser so would I even need the medicated one? I'm just wondering which one yall use and how effective it is?

Also, how often are you supposed to exfoliate with this scrub, once or twice a week?

Thanks!

I prefer the regular formula over the medicated one personally. And yes, it's meant to be used 1-3 times a week. My skin loves it!

I didn't like the medicated one very much. Irritated my skin. The original one is great to use a few times a week. Supersoft skin. :)

I also use the regular one, and I LOVE it! It has not irritated my skin, and it makes my skin brighter and makeup goes on smoother. I use it every other day, and sometimes only on certain areas of my face that are dry.

I use the non-medicated gentle formula, but I'm thinking of switching to the non-medicated regular (i.e., not "gentle") when my current batch runs out. The gentle is a little too gentle for me. My skin could stand a little more exfoliation than it provides. As far as the medication, I suppose it depenRAB what other topicals you are using. I use SA after cleansing, so I wouldn't want to double-up or use too much medication.

i agree with everyone else, i use the regular one (just started because my skin was getting dry and flaky :( ) and it was amazing! my skin is so soft and feels great :) choosing between the two would depend on your skin. if you have sensitive skin or are already using a bunch or products stick with the normal one. but if this is your like "once a week 'spa' treatment" and you've never had major problems with sensitivity (or if you breakout easily) then you should get the medicated one. exfoliating once a week should do it, 2 or 3 if you feel necessary. i hope this helped! and remeraber to always use sumscreen! :)
