favorite John Hughes movies of the 80's would have to be a toss up between Uncle Buck and Planes Trains And Automobiles

3 of my favourites there, especially St Elmo's Fire - I fell in love with Rob Lowe in that film and never quite recovered and I just loved that song.

Generally anything with the brat pack in I loved.

I watched Pretty in Pink again not long ago and I still thought it was just great. I'd love to see St Elmo's Fire again and I must get hold of that record. (swoon)

Yeah, loved Ghostbusters too and the Back to the Future films.


Did anyone else take ages to realise where they'd seen the guy off the Dead Zone series? I stared at him every episode trying to think where the hell I'd seen him before and then it hit me months later - it's the blonde/ginger lad off Weird Science and Breakfast Club!

I have 2 John Hughes DVD box sets, I've been meaning to watch Planes, Trains and Automobiles, just haven't got round to it yet.
