In short.. use stunnel http://www.giganews.com/faq.html#q7.4 For the sake of archival, here's what you do. http://www.stunnel.org/downloads/binaries.html]Download stunnel for windows and install[/COLOR] go to menu and install service go to menu and edit stunnel.conf uncomment (remove ";" ) the 'cleint = yes' comment (add ";" ) to all the listed services With all that done add a new service section: Code: [nntp] accept = 119 connect = news.YourSSLNewsHost.com:563 choose "start service" option in menu and stunnel should be set. Now just edit the address in your news client to use 127.0.0.1 and voila you have ssl connections from any news server. This worked for powerpost and it works with xnews.
