does it matter having it fix? it say's on manual it's airbag! and I gone to Honda dealer ..just for diagnorse it's 126 bucks and that's to look at it without labor! what a rip off!...

Before you go committing to repairs you should have the car battery checked. On the older Hondas there was a higher sensitivity to low battery voltage in the car battery. if the battery voltage dropped below a threshhold voltage then the SRS light would come on because there wasn't enough juice in the battery to run the computer. the failure would almost always code as "SRS Control Unit Internal Failure"

there are about 15 other reasons why that light can come on. some are minor. each time the light is triggered a diagnostic trouble code is stored in the control unit. you can get a body shop to retrieve that code for you. there is a two pin connetor under the driver's side dash near the steering column that has to be jumped to get the code. Any competent body shop should be able to do that as they deal with air bag replacements all the time. If they do charge you I can guarentee it will be far less than the $126 that the Honda dealer quoted you.

hope that helps

That is an expensive problem on that car. There are some exceptions but on that model it usually spells trouble. It can be the airbag but often it signifies there is something else, hence diagnosis. I don't know if you guys have to pass some kind of transport test to keep your cars on the road but in the UK that would fail. It is important this is sorted or you gotta get rid of the car! Sorry dude. Good Luck.
