My 1991 toyota pickup with the fuel injected 22RE 4 cylinder and manual tranny has two squeals. One is obviously the fan belt but the other kicks in just over three thousand rpms and is much more metallic sounding. What could it be? I've heard of something called restricter plate squeal, could it be that and if so what is that?

this could be the hydraulic clutch system these trucks are usually equipped with. i believe they share the same slave cylinder as your brake fluid. check your brake fluid and make sure it is at the proper height.
