SqN is Officially Dead

Bootlegs are amazing. Check out EZTorrents(dimeadozen) of you want good flac soundbounds, probably mostly for rock type bands. It's the best source I've found yet. ZOMB-tracker is decent as well, and has some stuff that isn't on EZTorrents, vice versa.

Yeah,sure...nonexist, with 0 activity on forum (1-2 members maxim), few torrents uploaded daily, peers ~5k... :/
sqn>ce ,but i prefere scenesound.

Haha, you must not be a member or you just don't get the purpose of our site (i.e. Coexist). We never intended on indexing scene releases. 95% of scene music releases are spam or V2 trance shit. If that floats your boat then more power to you, but it is not what we had in mind when we formed CE.

We built the tracker based on the idea of having a small group of members sharing the albums they enjoyed so others could try it out and possibly discover some cool new music. Go take a look at the browse page at sqn (if it's still open) and tell me what percentage is within the Electronica genre. Also, what percentage is V2.

Coexist has been online for just under a year and is presently at 1297 members. During that time 4964 albums have been uploaded (90% of which are non-scene releases). Presently, there are 2946 active torrents on the browse page. Of the 5,000 torrents that have been uploaded to CE only 959 were V2. We have had 1426 V0 uploads, 764 flac, 941 320 kbs.

There have been 9766 forum posts, which means that, on average, there are 26.75 forum posts per day.

Finally, I must mention our irc. If you are a member of Coexist, I would suggest you try out our irc channel. Our irc channel exemplifies the tight-knit community of music lovers that embodies the purpose behind CE.

Btw, if the above is perceived as blasting Sqn, then I apologize in advance. The staffers of sqn are also members of CE (even though they have never invited me to their tracker :whistling) and I mean no ill will and wish them all the best.

How does having jobs/family/kids justify not even having 100$? It's not like they made the tracker and all of a sudden they were required to pay a bill. They knew what they were getting into when they made the tracker, they knew the responsibility they were taking, and they clearly knew that the cheaper the hosting, the more possible for them to handle the costs. When a tracker nearly dies because grown adults cannot scramble 100$ even when they all pitch in, something's wrong.

Either that, or they themselves aren't sure if the tracker will remain alive, so none of them wanted to invest in the tracker. They simply wanted the users to maintain it for them.

So true. And judging by the many reviews that I've seen of Sqn, it looks like this is what the site is full of(not to mention most new music sites). Of course I could be wrong since I'm not a member and don't plan on being one...
