Spyro movie canceled

I'm not surprised with this news either. There hasn't been any news for nearly two years and Spyro isn't as popular as it used to be. The movie might have worked for DTV, but not for a theater run. Plus, I couldn't really see them adapting The Legend of Spyro trilogy into a movie. While I thought that they were enjoyable games, the second and third game mainly consist of fighting against monsters until you got to the final villain.

I think my heart rate just went down.:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:.I haven't felt like this since I heard that Redwall movie was a fake.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Not suprising...Spyro and crash were never that popular in the 1st place (compared to characters like Mario, Sonic, Megaman, etc.) I would have liked to see it as a DTV however...sad news for fans of the spyro franchise though.

I was kinda surprised when I heard this movie was being made, so yeah, the cancellation of it doesn't shock me. Plus, video game series usually don't do very well as movies anyway. :/

I'm not surprised that this happened, but that it just happened. The Spyro franchise hasn't been "hot" (no pun intended) for some time. I honestly thought that the ax had been pulled on the Spyro movie quite a while ago.

Knew it! Really, Spyro isn't relevant anymore, his last game was released in 2008, and I don't think a new one is in development. Also, I'm surprised that it took this long to pull the plug, and I thought that the movie was just a joke rumor, like Battletoads.
