Sprint World Edition 8830

I bought a used Sprint World Edition 8830 Blackberry and have been using it for several months in Tanzania using a data plan purchased from a local mobile provider.

Since last week, my data plan stopped working and I cannot send email or access the internet even though I was still subscribed to my data plan with my local provider.

The customer service people at my local provider told me that many people with Sprint and Verizon phones came in with similar complaints to me last week.

I called Sprint and got help from their technical support and found that my phone is definitely unlocked.

Does anyone have any advice for me in troubleshooting the problem? I miss using my BB!

Your service books and data configuration might not match your current carrier.

Solution: Get and flash your current carrier service books to your phone and check settings => options => advanced settings=>Tcp/Ip and configure to your current carrier's settings
